Welcome to the Carer & Consumer Representatives (C&C Reps) dedicated area of No Wrong Door. This area is a space for those people who are in paid employment or volunteer roles as consumer or carer representatives for health +/or welfare agencies in the Hume region.

Consumer & Carer Regional Meetings:
The project team hosts consumer & carer regional meetings for the Hume Region.

These meetings are specifically designed for consumers and carers who are in a representative or support group leader role (either voluntary or employed) for a health or welfare organisation in the Hume Region who help people with drug & alcohol problems and mental illness.

The three forums hosted in 2010 for this group were positively received and evaluation clearly indicated they were worthwhile.

Objectives:
• To provide a regional forum where C&C reps can come together, meet, network and share ideas to assist in your representative/advocacy role.
• Discuss regional issues, make recommendations where appropriate & develop regional resources.
• Provide opportunity for C&C reps to access relevant education and training to further support you in the delivery of your role.
• Build consumer & carer capability for your role.

 Lastest News:  Yesterday, Wednesday 14 September, 20 C&C reps from a variety of the region's Mental Health & Alcohol Other Drugs support groups, health agencies and services gathered together in Benalla for the 6th C&C Regional Forum.  Participants who had not been before said "they were walmly welcomed and felt comfortable".  It was also great to see those who had been before.  We made our way through an interesting, productive agenda (always requested for/by the Group, see download) which include a guest speaker from FaPMI/CoPMI, plenty of opportunities to have a say and provide input, lots of laughs and chat with other like minded people over good food and a cuppa.  (Lyn Sheahan, Consumer & Carer Consultant)
